Where Confidence, Friendship, and Adventure Begin
More than a camp—it’s a community that inspires growth, courage, and lifelong memories.
At Girl Scouts of Central & Southern New Jersey, camp is more than just summer fun—it’s a transformative experience rooted in community, connection, and a shared commitment to making the world a better place. When you send your camper to one of our camps, you’re giving them more than fun in the sun—you’re giving them a foundation for life.
A Culture of Belonging
From the moment campers arrive, they become part of something bigger: an inclusive space where every voice matters. Our camp culture is built on respect, personal growth, and joy. Through group activities, cherished traditions, and the daily adventures of camp life, we help campers develop purpose, self-reliance, and empathy—skills that last far beyond the summer.
As one parent shared:
“As the parent of an only child, it’s been wonderful watching our daughter blossom through her summers at Girl Scout Camp. Each year, she returns from camp with a whole new circle of friends who share her excitement and enthusiasm. One of the things we love most is how all the camp staff know her by name, making her feel truly seen and valued.” – June N.
Authenticity and Adventure
At camp, everyone—campers and staff alike—can be their authentic selves. It’s a place to try new things, push boundaries, and discover strengths. Whether earning badges, exploring nature, or tackling challenges together, every moment is an opportunity to inspire, grow, and create magic.
Take Alice’s story:
“Coming out of COVID, Alice was easily intimidated by anything adventurous. Her first day at Camp Oak Spring was rough—there were tears at ziplining. But we persevered. Fast forward to 2024, and she spent three weeks at camp and would have stayed all summer if she could! She now coaches younger scouts, leads our troop on Camporee weekends, and has made it to the top of the rock wall. She went from struggling to swim to being a fully independent swimmer and a thrill seeker. Every time she comes home from camp, she carries herself with an increased level of confidence that will take her far in life.” – Marley N.
Living the Girl Scout Promise
We live out the Girl Scout Promise and Law in everything we do. That means building resilience, forging lifelong friendships, and creating impactful memories that stay with campers long after the season ends. Camp isn’t just about fun—it’s about growing stronger, together.
Parents see the difference:
“Camp Sacajawea truly brought out the best in my daughter! She made incredible friends, and the leadership skills she gained have been remarkable. The staff created such a welcoming environment where Amelia felt completely comfortable and could be her authentic self.” – Alicia T.
And for Emily:
“Camp Inawendiwin helped my daughter reach her full potential. Her camp experience encouraged her not to be afraid to try new things. After one week of camp, she couldn’t wait to go back the next week and see what new adventures were waiting for her.” – Julie M.
