And once you unlock that confidence, you’ll aim as high as the stars you see outside your cabin window.

These are just a few of the experiences awaiting Girl Scouts who are ready to explore the great outdoors. Camp and outdoor experiences can be enjoyed during summer camp, day camp, or year-round.

IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ: 

Even though you have chosen specific activities with specific times through Doubleknot, YOUR PROGRAMS, TIMES AND ACTIVITIES ARE NOT GUARANTEED. The program schedule is set up by the Outdoor Programming Team and is dependent upon Weekend Staff and Program AVAILABILITY.

You will be contacted on the Monday prior to your scheduled weekend events by the Outdoor Program Specialist, and again a few days prior to your scheduled reservation by the Camp Ranger.

While we will make every effort to accommodate your troops' specific needs, your understanding and flexibility in scheduling your troop’s activities are greatly appreciated.

Girl Scout Members & Families

Girl Scout members and their families can rent our camps for outdoor adventures including Service Unit Weekend Camps, Troop Weekend Camps, and family camping.

Organizations and Private Group

With our beautiful properties and flexible range of offerings, your group’s stay will be a wonderful experience. From business retreats to weddings, our camps provide the perfect backdrop. If you have any questions about the property or activities available, we are happy to help!

How To Reserve toggle arrow

Camp is open for weekend camping from 5:00 PM Friday to 11 AM Sunday. All groups applying to use any of the GSCSNJ camps must meet use requirements and have a certified First Aider. Outdoor Training and First Aid/CPR certification is required for adults taking girls camping.

Please note, the calendar lists all weekends with a Friday start date. (Even if you only plan to camp Saturday to Sunday, you still check availability by the Friday date.)

Requests can be made to participate in certain activities; however, the schedule depends on instructor availability. We follow GSUSA Activity Guidelines for participation. We will make every effort to accommodate everyone coming to our camps. Your understanding and flexibility are greatly appreciated.

Cancellation Policy

Multi Unit Rentals: Cancellation made 90 days prior to the reservation date will be refunded in full minus the non-refundable deposit.
Single Unit Rentals: Cancellations made 42 days prior to reservation date will be refunded in full minus the non-refundable deposit.

Do all the parents have to come to camp with their daughter?

No, but there must be enough adult supervision to follow the Safety Activity Checkpoints Supervision Guidelines.

When booking an activity, can we provide our own instructor?

Yes, for Archery only. The instructor must be certified by GSCSNJ and must e-mail a copy of their certification to Customer Care at customercare@gscsnj.org.

Do you have to be a Girl Scout to go to Girl Scout camp?

Yes, you do not have to be part of a troop, but you must have a current membership to attend summer camp.

How do I sign up for an activity at camp?

For weekend camping with your group, add any activities you are interested in when you register on DoubleKnot.

For Council-Sponsored events sign up through the Events Calendar

Who do I contact if I need to make changes to my reservation?

Who in the group needs to be outdoor certified?

At least one adult coming with your group, this does not have to be the troop leader but cannot also be acting as the first aider. It is recommended that there is more than one Troop Camper, just in case of an emergency. This is not required.

Camp Safety Tips toggle arrow

GSCSNJ wants everyone to have a safe, fun time at our camp properties. The Girl Scout motto is "Be Prepared." We ask that you go over the information below with your girls before heading out to camp.

Always have a buddy. Never walk anywhere alone when you're in camp.
Always let an adult know where you and your buddy are going. You should agree on a time to return to your group.
Wear the appropriate socks and shoes. This is important to protect your feet and avoid accidents. You don't want to get blisters, cuts or scrapes on your feet - that will really cut down on your activities (No flip-flops!).
Dress for the weather. Check the weather forecast. Wearing layers is the easiest way to control how comfortable you feel when you're outdoors.
Remember, even if it doesn't rain, the grass can be wet in the morning and evening. You might want to bring an extra pair of shoes. You'll definitely want extra socks to keep your feet dry and warm.
Agree on a meeting place in camp if there is an emergency.
Read GSUSA's "Activity Checkpoints" to ensure everyone's safety. Leaders, parents and girls should be familiar with these guidelines.
Outdoor Training and First Aid/CPR certification is required for adults taking girls camping.
