Calling all Girl Scouts, future leaders, and changemakers! Join GSCSNJ for an unforgettable day at the New Jersey State House where history, leadership, and civic action come to life.

From Daisies through Ambassadors, Girl Scouts will step into the heart of state government, meet inspiring leaders, and discover how their voices can help shape the future. This exciting, hands on experience brings democracy off the page and into action-while giving girls the opportunity to earn their Democracy badges in a fun, empowering, and meaningful way. Together, we'll explore what it truly means to be an engaged citizen and inspire the next generation of leaders.

Event Highlights Behind the Scenes State House Tour (10:30 a.m.) Take a one hour guided tour of the New Jersey State House, including the General Assembly, Senate, and Rotunda. Learn how laws are made, how government works, and the important role citizens play in a democracy.

Women Lawmakers Talk & Q&A (11:30 a.m.) Meet inspiring women who serve in New Jersey government and hear firsthand what it's like to lead, serve, and make change.

Want to meet your legislator? You're encouraged to reach out and invite them to attend! Find your representative here: https://pluralpolicy.com/find-your-legislator/

Lunch with GSCSNJ (12:30 p.m.) Pack a lunch and enjoy lunch in the courtyard while connecting with fellow Girl Scouts.

Explore the NJ250 Exhibit (1:00 p.m.) Let's kick of GSCSNJ's celebration of the 250th Anniversary of America with a visit to the brand new NJ250 exhibit at the Archives Building on Capitol Plaza. This interactive exhibit explores "The Meaning of Democracy" and how it has shaped New Jersey, featuring original founding documents and historical artifacts.
