Come on out to the Essex County Turtle Back Zoo on September 19th! Drop in anytime from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM for a day of animal adventures and Girl Scout fun!
Tickets are $25 per girl participant and include a Zoo Fun Patch. Add $10 to your regular ticket to participate in a private zoo tour at 1:00 PM, where girls will explore three exhibits and have the opportunity to earn their Animals Badge (depending on level).
What to Expect: The Essex County Turtle Back Zoo features ten exhibits with animals from all over the world representing over 150 species. Enjoy a free train ride along the Orange Reservoir that is fun for the whole family, and attend animal feedings scheduled throughout the day. Visit the touch tank in the Sea Lion Sound, which also highlights conservation and Sea Turtle Recovery efforts. There is a playground near the petting zoo where kids can run around and play.
All participants with the standard ticket will receive a Zoo themed fun patch!
Private Tour: At 1pm participants who select the private tour option will enjoy a 45 min guided tour hosted by the Zoo. Participants will explore three different exhibits, learn about animal habitats and lives, and ask questions along the way. Participants who choose this option will earn their Animal Badge (depending on their level) and roam the zoo before or after the tour.
Girl Information: Participants who have the standard ticket will receive a Zoo Fun patch! Participants who choose the private tour will receive their Animal Badge (Example: Daisy Animal Observer Badge, Brownie Bugs Badge, Junior Animal Habitat Badge, etc.)
Adult Information: Parking is free and included in ticket price.
Guests are welcome to bring food into the zoo and enjoy a picnic for lunch or snacks during the day!
