Girl Scout Juniors and Cadettes will dive into the fascinating world of plants during this engaging, hands-on nature program. Juniors will work toward earning their Flower Badge as they learn about the parts of a flower, how flowers grow, and why they are important to people and pollinators. Cadettes will explore the science and impact of trees while completing steps toward their Trees Badge, discovering how trees support ecosystems, communities, and the environment.
Girl Scouts will rotate through interactive stations where they will plant their own flower or plant in a pot to decorate and take home, create a fun mini tree craft, and use microscopes to take a closer look at real plant samples. By examining leaves, petals, and stems up close, girls will gain a deeper understanding of plant structures while building curiosity and confidence in STEM skills. Through outdoor exploration, creativity, and teamwork, scouts will grow their appreciation for nature and learn simple ways they can help care for plants and trees in their own communities.
Registration Information: Participants will earn and receive their Junior Flowers or Cadette Trees Badge.
