Get ready to see the world through your senses in this interactive, hands-on program! Girl Scouts will explore how their senses help them understand their surroundings, make observations, create memories, and stay safe. Through a series of mystery challenges and sensory experiments, girls will put their touch, smell, hearing, and taste to the test while learning just how powerful their senses can be.
Girls will participate in six fun activities:

Mystery Touch Challenge: Reach inside mystery bags & use only the sense of touch to identify hidden objects such as feathers, pinecone, cotton ball, & smooth rock.

Mystery Smell Challenge: Put noses to the test by identifying mystery scents like vanilla, cinnamon, lemon, & coffee & discovering how smells can connect to memories.

Sound Detective Challenge: Listen carefully to mystery sounds, from ringing bells and shaking keys to crinkling paper and bird calls & see how many can be identified.

Blind Taste Test: Explore different flavors by sampling sweet, salty, sour, & mild foods without relying on sight.

Sensory Check-In: Talk about which senses are easiest & hardest to use & explore how our senses help keep us safe every day.

Sensory Slime Jar: Finish the experience by getting creative & making a fun sensory slime jar to take home!
By the end of the program, Girl Scouts will have a better understanding of how their senses work together and a new appreciation for the many ways we experience the world around us!
