Celebrate the season of gratitude with a hands-on Thanksgiving kitchen experience! Brownies & Juniors will work together as their very own kitchen crew, learning about roles such as Head Chef, Sous Chef, Prep Team, Plating Team, & Host. Along the way, Girl Scouts will practice basic kitchen safety, food preparation, teamwork, presentation, & garnishing while creating a festive Thanksgiving appetizer spread.
During this program, Girl Scouts will:

Run Their Own Kitchen: Learn about different kitchen roles and work together as chefs

Make a Pumpkin Cheese Ball: Shape pumpkin cream cheese into a festive pumpkin, add a cinnamon-stick stem, and plate it with pretzels.

Create Cucumber & Turkey Bites: Practice peeling, slicing, piping, assembling, and garnishing bite-sized appetizers with cucumber, turkey, cream cheese, cranberry, and dill.

Prepare Apple Pie Nachos: Thinly slice apples and finish them with caramel drizzle and apple pie seasoning for a simple fall-inspired treat.

Build Cornucopia Snack Cones: Fill waffle-cone goodie bags with a Thanksgiving snack mix where each ingredient represents something to be thankful for from people who support us with sweet memories and things that bring us joy.

Practice Plating & Presentation: Put the finishing touches on each creation & learn how thoughtful plating & garnishing can turn simple foods into a beautiful Thanksgiving spread.

Celebrate Teamwork & Gratitude: Work together in the kitchen while reflecting on the people, memories, & things they are thankful for.
By the end of the program, Girl Scouts will have gained confidence in the kitchen, practiced valuable food-preparation skills, and created four festive Thanksgiving appetizers perfect for sharing with family & friends!
