Creative MindSets is a new program from NAMI National (National Alliance on Mental Illness) designed specifically for middle and high school students. This program offers a welcoming and supportive environment where Girl Scouts can explore how creative experiences-such as writing, gardening, painting, and crafting-can help manage stress, practice selfcare, and support their mental health.
During this onehour session, Girl Scouts will choose one of five creative experiences to participate in using a variety of art and craft materials that spark imagination and selfexpression. These experiences are designed to be flexible, handson, and welcoming for all skill levels!
The Creative MindSets program was thoughtfully developed by professionals with expertise in both creativity and mental health, including art therapists, youth program leaders, and professional artists. Each experience introduces creative tools that encourage mindfulness, reflection, and emotional expression in ways that are engaging, accessible, and meaningful for youth.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization, dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental health conditions.
By participating in this program, Girl Scouts will complete Requirements 1, 2, and 3 of the Senior: Mind, Body, Me Badge (badge not included). I
