2026 Girl Scout Convention, a once-every-three-years gathering that

2026 - a guided visit to the U.S. Capitol Building and Library of
Congress, spotlighting the women who shaped our legislative and
literary legacy

movements
On July 24, 2026 - a one-mile walking
tourcelebrating women in history, including a stop at the National
Portrait Gallery to view the larger-than-life portrait ofJuliette

available July 23-25, making it easy to navigate the city and connect

Girls must be a
current registered Girl Scout Cadette who is in the 4th grade or older
(during the 2025-2026 membership year).
Space is limited!
23 rooms have been reserved for this event.
All
girls/troops must have a GSCSNJ approved adult chaperone attending
with them.
Troops attending are responsible for proper
girl/adult ratios.
All adults attending must be GSCSNJ
approved chaperones.
A Troop Trip form must be completed
for your trip to cover the time you are traveling to and from the
Washington, DC (in the name of Girl Scouts).
Review
Safety Activity Checkpoints for the Trip/Travel. This includes but is
not limited to the following:
Each participant has their
own bed. Parent/Guardian permission is required if girls are sharing a
bed.
Girls cannot share a bed with an adult unless it is
their parent/guardian.
Separate sleeping/bathroom
facilities are provided for adult males.
If girls are
sharing a room with an unrelated adult, parental permission in writing
is required.
If traveling by automobile, there must be
two adults in the vehicle.
Chaperones attending the trip
are required to follow Girl Scout Volunteer Policies which include but
are not limited to the prohibition of smoking in front of the girls,
consumption of alcoholic beverages, and the use of foul
language.

$100
non refundable deposit due at registration per registrant
Full room cancellations only. For individual cancellations, remaining
participants in a room will be liable for the fees per room. (for
example, if there are 4 people in a room each paying $761 for the trip
and one cancels, the 3 remaining people will now be charged $895 per
person for the trip.)
