Star Wars extraordinaire or not, get ready for an awesome adventure
at the Philadelpha Zoo! Zoo educators will show you real animals that
look like Star Wars creatures. You might see owls that look like
Porgs, lizards that remind you of Krayt Dragons, and snakes that are
just like Exogorths! Plus, you'll learn cool facts about how these
real animals inspired the aliens in Star Wars.
You'll go on a
super fun scavenger hunt with a mission holocron, a special list of
"galactic creatures" to find all around the zoo. Can you
spot an animal with camouflage like a Tauntaun or one with a strong
bite like a Rancor? It's a thrilling challenge!
At the creative
station, you can make your very own lightsaber binoculars for spotting
galactic creatures and create cute hand puppets like a Wampa or a
Porg. There will also be a cool talk about endangered species. You'll
learn how to be a Jedi protector of nature and find out about
real-world conservation efforts, just like those supported by Star
Wars: Force for Change. Plus, you can join a special Q&A with zoo
keepers to discover how real animals are similar to the Star Wars
creatures. It's going to be an amazing day filled with fun and
learning!
And don't forget, dress up as your favorite Star Wars
creature or character for even more fun! May the force be with you!
