Camp Inawendiwin, Tabernacle, NJ

This camp is a sprawling 395-acre camp in the Pine Barrens of Burlington County. We offer summer day camp, troop camping, family camping, and you can host events at this location. At Inawendiwin, you can climb the rock wall, canoe on the lake, shoot archery, zip line through the woods, go on a hay ride, go geocaching, and hike.

Activities at Inawendiwin

Please note that with any activity requested, payment is required prior to participation. Activities must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. Activities are dependent upon times, instructors, and availability. We will do our best to accommodate your group!

As of October 1, 2014, groups may provide their own instructor to teach activities as long as they were certified by council. You will need to submit a copy of your certification to Debbie Test at dtest@gscsnj.org.

Archery

Archery: Each session can accommodate up to 20 people. Session is approximately one hour. Instructor included. Available April-October. Girl Scout Juniors and up. 
Pricing:  GS $30  |  Outside Groups $70

Hay Ride

Hay Ride: Each ride can accommodate up to 20 people and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Available April-October (weather permitting). 
Pricing:  GS $25   |  Outside Groups $50 

Rock Tower

Rock Tower:  Maximum of 25 people / session. The rock tower must be scheduled in advance as it is shared between other camps. Large groups, Service Units and Council program will have priority when reservations are made. Weight limit 40-220 lbs. Safety harness must properly fit participant. (April-October).  Girl Scout Daisies and up.

Geocaching

Geocaching: GPS units are available for rental or you may bring your own. There are 3 caches on the camp and the coordinates are in the kit. The GPS units in the kit are not pre-programmed. An instruction book is in the kit, but a basic understanding of GPS is helpful when planning this activity for a troop. Reservations should be made and paid for 2 weeks in advance. There is one kit per camp.  Available all year. Pick-up at camp.

Zip Line

Zip Line: Maximum of 18 people/hour. Certified Instructors are required for this activity. Weight 40-220 lbs. Safety harness must properly fit participant.  Girl Scout Daisies and up. (April-October)

Canoeing

Canoeing: 24 people at a time. 24 people at a time. Certified instructor included. Life jackets are provided and must be worn. Available April - October weather permitting. Brownies and up. Daisies can be passenger with adults only.

For canoeing please wear boat shoes, closed-toe and nonslip hiking/sport sandals with heel strap, or water socks or shoes (no flip-flops).

Spring 2021 Camping (April 9 - June 13, 2021)

We encourage troops and families to reserve weekend-long (overnight) site rentals for Spring 2021. We will be monitoring the current climate surrounding COVID-19 and you will be contacted by March 1 if we cannot accommodate your overnight rental for the month of April 2021.

If we are unable to accommodate overnight rentals, you will have the option to transfer your paid balance to a Saturday Activity Package.


Rentable Sites

Admin Building: Capacity 20 people (mattresses). Building with kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 1 bedroom, large common room, mattresses. Single story building with handicap accessible ramp.
Pricing:  GS $105  |  Outside Groups $230 

Troop Camp House: Capacity 50 people (mattresses). Building with indoor fireplace, heaters, and central air, running water, limited hot water, electric stoves, refrigerator, and outdoor cooking area. There is a single bathroom with a shower on the first floor. There is a four-stall bathroom with multiple sinks on the second floor. 1st floor is a large open area with a separate kitchen and bathroom. The second floor is a balcony along exterior walls and allows enough room for mattresses set up as a sleeping area. The side entry has a handicap accessible ramp and the first floor is handicap accessible.

Lakeside: Capacity 30 people (mattresses). Building with indoor fireplace, heat, running water, 3 stall bathroom with showers, limited hot water, electric stove, refrigerator, and outdoor cooking area. The building is one-story; entry has handicap accessible ramp.

Sequoia: Capacity 12 people (mattresses). Building with indoor fireplace, heater, running water, limited hot water, electric stove, refrigerator, and outdoor cooking area. This building has 2 separate indoor living areas. One side is a large, open room (activities and sleeping); the other side has the kitchen and bathroom.

Units 5 or 6: Capacity 28 people. Acorn cabins with cots and mattresses. Latrines, running water, limited hot water, showers, fire pit, eating area, and a centrally located bathhouse. Refrigerators located in pavilions.  Acorn Cabins are available from April to October. 
Pricing:  GS $90  |  Outside Groups $200 

Units 8 & 9: Capacity 28 people. Platform tents with some cots and mattresses. Latrines, running water, showers, limited hot water, fire pit, eating area, and a centrally located bathhouse. Refrigerator located in the pavilion. Tent units are available from April to October. 
Pricing:  GS $90  |  Outside Groups $200 

Marion Villalobos Campsite (formally known as Unit 2): Capacity 28 people. This newly dedicated site is fully handicap accessible. Parking at the site, building, and acorn huts are ramped, cement walkways between all buildings. The site includes acorn cabins with cots and mattresses. Multi-use building includes 2 bathrooms and a large common area. There is a total of 3 flush toilets, a refrigerator, a kitchen sink, and hot water. (April-October) 
Pricing:  GS $105  |  Outside Groups $230 

Vandy Hall:  Capacity 200 people.  Used for meetings, meals, and activities. Features a commercial kitchen, cathedral ceilings with fans, two bathroom areas, and a screened porch.  No sleeping is allowed in this building.
Pricing:  GS $215  |  Outside Groups $470 

Infirmary:  Capacity 12 people (brand new mattresses on bunk beds). Building with an indoor fireplace, heater, running water, limited hot water, and kitchen with new electric stove, new refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. This cabin also has an outdoor cooking area and firepit. This space has been freshly painted in 2018 with tongue and groove pine siding. This cabin has an indoor bathroom and shower.
Pricing:  GS $85  |  Outside Groups $165

Seneca:  Capacity 17 people (mattresses). Building with an indoor fireplace, heater, running water, limited hot water, new electric stove, new refrigerator, and fire circle. This building has 2 toilet stalls and outdoor showers. This space was painted in the Spring of 2018 has tongue and groove pine siding.
