Sacajawea Sleepaway CIT II 6/26/22 - 7/10/22
After earning her CIT pin, girls will be able to hone their skills and expand on their interests during this multi-week program. Campers will be well on their way to joining the Summer Camp staff after embarking on one of our CIT II tracks. Girls who complete their choice of the two programs provided will earn their CIT II Pin and hours towards their Service to Girl Scouts Bar. Participation in the full course is required along with a pre-camp meeting one month prior to the session.
Take your CIT training to the next level with a program exclusive to Camp Sacajawea! In this two-week intensive program, CIT IIs will be trained in one of two tracks: (1) Small Craft Safety, complete a river tubing day trip (July 3), and complete a two-day/two-night boating trip (July 5-7). OR (2) Leadership & Team Dynamics, complete a backpacking trip two-day/two-night on the Batona Trail (July 5-7).
In completing this program, CIT IIs will be certified to co-lead GSCSNJ's boating activities OR low ropes and will receive their CIT II pin. Upon completion of this course, campers can return to be a Group Camp CA. Prerequisites: *Must have completed CIT training. See below for more requirements. No previous high adventure experience required. Participation in the full course is required along with a pre-camp/equipment meeting one month prior to the session.
By Registering for this programs, my child has permission to participate in all activities offered during the regular camping day. These activities may include, but are not limited to bus transportation to and from camp, swimming, boating, hiking, archery, rock wall, zip line, outdoor cooking, and sports. Registration into programs featuring special activities, i.e. trips and horseback riding, has my permission for participation.

Accessibility: Camp Sacajawea is home to sandy trails, and dirt roads. Campers will experice a signficant amount travel from camp location to location. To ensure your stay is enjable, please provide any phsical accomidations you might need (plug for sleep apnia machine, etc.). Please make sure your accessiablity and medical needs are also reflected in your Camp Doc that you will receive as your camp date draws closer.
Camp Doc: All camper, including adults, must provde a current physical and immunization record to particiapte.
COVID Information: The health and safety of our campers is always our first priority. In-Person GSCSNJ Summer Camps have extensive health and safety procedures and staff training in place every year. In 2020 & 2021, we had 2205 campers at our Summer Camp facilies with ZERO COVID 19 cases reported. Last summer, the State required COVID 19 vaccinations or COVID 19 PCR tests prior to coming to camp. The State of NJ released their summer camp Guidelines in late Spring. This summer, GSCSNJ will continue to update the 2022 guidelines as we receive further guidance and recommendations from the NJ State Health Department, American Camp Association (ACA), and the considerations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
