Program Kits are available to enhance your Troop year!

Our Program Kits are new and improved. Program Kits help your Girl Scouts meet their goals and are specifically designed to help troop leaders complete the instructions for skill-building badges or to complete Leadership Journeys. Borrow a supplemental kit to introduce Girl Scout traditions, or bring some "wow" to an event!

Program Kits - Leadership Journey Kits

These kits provide step-by-step instructions, and most materials for the Journey (troop leaders may need to reach out to their Girl Scout Network to supply food items and some recycled materials), resources to empower your girls to Take Action, and a Closing Ceremony.

Journey Kits also include a Journey Girl Guide and award set for each girl, a Leader's Journey Guide, Take Action Project Planning Tool and Closing Ceremony Instructions.

All Journey Kits are $20 per girl/ per kit and can be reserved for up to 6 weeks.

Daisy Between Earth and Sky Journey

Between Earth and Sky takes the girls on a journey of exploration of the world around them and their own personal skills and feelings. Girls learn about taking care of themselves, taking care of others, and taking care of the environment.

Materials are provided for Troop Leaders to complete the activities for the Between the Earth and Sky Journey in 3 sessions. The Kit also includes instructions for girls to plan their Take Action Project (after the 3 sessions are complete) and a Closing Ceremony.

Troop leaders or families will need to provide pencils, pens, paper, crayons, markers, and various food items. All other materials, a Between the Earth and Sky Journey Girl Guide and Badge set for each girl, and a Journey Adult Guide are also included for Troops to keep.

Brownie Quest Journey

During "The ELF Adventure," Brownies will explore, link, arms, and fly, all while finding out how to care for themselves, their family, Girl Scout sisters, and their communities.

Materials are provided for Troop Leaders to complete the activities for the Brownie Quest Journey in 3 sessions. The Kit also includes instructions for girls to plan their Take Action Project (after the 3 sessions are complete) and a Closing Ceremony.

Troop leaders or families will need to provide pencils, pens, paper, crayons, markers, and old magazines. All other materials, a Brownie Quest Journey Girl Guide and Award set for each girl, and a Journey Adult Guide are also included for Troops to keep.

Junior Get Moving! Journey

Get Moving! Journey helps girls to begin understanding where they fit in with using their energy to save and protect the Earth's energy. As the girls discover their power to change how we use energy and educate others on ways they can help with our precious resources.

Materials are provided for Troop Leaders to complete the activities for the Get Moving! Journey in 3 sessions. The Kit also includes instructions for girls to plan their Take Action Project (after the 3 sessions are complete) and a Closing Ceremony.

Troop leaders or families will need to provide pencils, pens, paper, crayons, markers, items to make trail mix, a gallon of water, recycle bins and trash cans, and several recycled materials (egg cartons, junk mail, etc.) All other materials, a Get Moving! Journey Girl Guide and Award set for each girl, and a Journey Adult Guide are also included for Troops to keep.

Program Kits - Badge Kits

Make badge-earning easy! Kits include step-by-step instructions, and materials as noted. Troop leaders may need to provide markers, pens, pencils, scissors, and any perishable food items (if necessary for the activity).

All Badge Kits are available for $40 per week. Pickup will be on Wednesday, return to the Service Center the following Wednesday. Badges are not included with kit rental. 

Daisy Kits

Daisy Goldieblox Mechanical Engineering Badges: Kit includes instructions and materials for Daisy Roller Coaster Design Challenge, Daisy Board Game Design Challenge, and Daisy Model Car Design Challenge. 

Kit will serve up to 24 girls (working in pairs). Leaders should plan for 1.5 hours per badge they plan to complete.

Brownie Kits

Brownie Goldieblox Mechanical Engineering Badges: Kit includes instructions and materials for Brownie Fling Flyer Design Challenge, Brownie Leap Bot Design Challenge, and Brownie Race Car Design Challenge.

Kit will serve up to 24 girls (working in pairs). Leaders should plan for 1.5 hours per badge they plan to complete.

Brownie Home Scientist Badge: Includes materials for a Troop Leader to complete the badge steps in one two-hour session.

Junior Kits

Junior Entertainment Technology Badge: Includes materials and supplies to complete four steps of the Junior Entertainment Technology Badge in one two-hour session (one take-home activity provided).

Junior Detective Badge: Includes all the materials for a Troop Leader to complete the badge steps in one two-hour session.

Junior Jeweler Badge (NEW!): Kit includes instructions, tools, and most materials to complete the Junior Jeweler Badge in one 2-hour session. 

The kit will include a small assortment of practice beads, however, the girls/troop will have to purchase the necessary beads to complete any beaded project they select from the kit. Instructions will be provided for a variety of projects requiring both small and larger numbers of beads.

Junior K'Nex Crane Design Challenge Badge (NEW!): Kit includes instructions and materials to complete the Crane Design Challenge Badge in one 2-hour session.

Cadette Kits

Cadette Special Agent Badge (NEW!): Includes all the materials for a Troop Leader to complete the badge steps in one 4-hour session, or two 2-hour sessions.

LEGO WeDo Robotics Badges - for Brownies, Juniors, OR Cadettes (NEW!)

Use motors and gears to animate a LEGO construction! Girls will also complete offline activities to reinforce concepts. Program Kit includes 3 LEGO WeDo kits, 3 computers for programming, and instructions and additional materials for unplugged activities. Please note there are three robotics badges per level, and each Brownie and Junior badge can be completed in two hours.

Leaders should plan for Cadette Badges to take two 1.5 hour sessions or one 3 hour session. Sample curriculum included.

STEM
Goldieblox Story Kits:
  • For grades K-3
  • One session
  • $10/week

Girls will read the Goldieblox stories and build Goldie's invention! Includes four (4) Storybook kits, two (2) action figure build sets, extra parts with instructions for mini-projects. A great addition to Service Unit Family STEM Night, or use for recruitment programs.

Ship to Shore:
  • For grades K-12
  • One to two sessions
  • $10/week

Explore the core of the Earth with this take-home kit! Troops learn Earth and Marine Science from the discoveries of the International Ocean Drilling Program. Two sessions recommended.

Snap Circuits:
  • For grades K-5
  • One session
  • $10/week

Snap, click, beep, light it up! Introduce your Girl Scouts to STEM with these fun and flashy circuit toys. No experience necessary! Kit includes 12 circuit toys, rechargeable batteries, and chargers.

Wind Power Physics Kit:
  • Recommended for grades 4-8
  • $10/week

Build a wind-powered car, a turbine, and more! Great for the Get Moving! or Breathe Journeys. 10 Wind Power sets included. Turbines take about 45 minutes to build.

Life Skills
Sewing Machines:
  • For grades 4-12 (& adults!)
  • $25/week

Two sewing machines and assorted thread, fabric, and notions. Great for teaching or Higher Awards and Troop Service Projects.

The kit will include instructions and patterns for 2-3 small projects. The girls/troop will have to purchase the necessary fabric and finishings (zippers, buttons, etc.) for the girls to complete each project they select.

*It is not recommended to use the machines to sew on badges as the sewing machines in the kit are not industrial machines.*

Team Building in a Box:
  • For grades K-12
  • $10/week

Bring your girls together in this series of silly challenges! Great for a troop meeting, camporee, family night, Thinking Day, Back-to-Troop, and more! Box includes instructions and materials for ten (10) activities.

Girl Scout Traditions
S.W.A.P.S. Box:
  • For grades K-12
  • $10/week

S.W.A.P.S. = Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere)

When Girl Scouts travel, they share S.W.A.P.S. with the other Girl Scouts they meet! This kit includes materials and instructions to make three different kinds of S.W.A.P.S.!

Vintage Girl Scout Uniforms:
  • For grades K-12
  • $10/week

Experience Girl Scout history with vintage uniforms from the HerStory Museum at Camp Kettle Run! Kit includes six (6) uniforms in a variety of sizes, representing Girl Scouts through the years, along with some Girl Scout history fun.

Program Kits - Reserve a Kit
STEP 1: Choose Your Program Kit and Dates

Choose your program kit and your dates. Check the calendar for kit availability. Please be sure you are allowing at least two weeks notice.

  • PLEASE NOTE: If you do not see the name of your kit on the days you are interested in using it, IT IS AVAILABLE! The calendar shows what has already been booked by other troops. 
  • If there is any confusion, please complete the reservation form in Step 2 and council staff will reach out to assist. 
  • Weekly kits are available to pick up at one of our Girl Scout Service Centers on Wednesday evenings until 7pm, and are due back the following Wednesday.
STEP 2: Complete the Reservation Form

Complete the Program Kit reservation here. Our staff will contact you to confirm your reservation and answer any questions you may have. They will also send you the correct link for payment via eBiz. (The Customer Care team can help you with eBiz too!)

STEP 3: Pick Up Program Kit

Pick up the kit as scheduled. Most kits will be available in our Service Centers or shop by 4pm on Wednesday. Plan for at least 20 minutes at pick up to review the kit contents and meeting plans.

STEP 4: Return Program Kit

Return the Program Kit to any Service Center by the following Wednesday at 7pm.
