Horseshoe Crabs and Shorebirds!
What do 250-450 million year old arthropods and birds have in common? More than you’d think! Girl Scouts learn about horseshoe crabs and shorebird species interdependency along the Delaware Bay. Get up close (and very personal) with live horseshoe crabs, see if you are as tough as a shorebird, and learn about horseshoe crabs’ contribution to modern medicine. Students walk away with how they can help conserve these prehistoric critters and impressive little birds. Grades 4-8. No badge included
