Discover camp experiences for every girl, whether it involves wildlife, make-believe, STEM, environmental stewardship, or culinary arts. The options include a blend of live interactions with camp counselors and plenty of activities to complete away from the screen, independently, or with a caregiver.

*Pricing includes a Welcome Box with supplies and camp essentials! Pick-up at a Service Center or have it mailed to your home for free.

An Eventbrite fee will be added upon checkout and is nonrefundable per Eventbrite policy.

Week 2: July 13-17
Week 2 registration closes Monday, July 6!
Party Animals | Grades K-3

Whether they are cute and cuddly, or slimy and scaly, animals are so much fun! This week we will virtually visit a local animal shelter, interview a real-life therapy animal, and help create toys for pets in-need! Campers will leave this week with their tails wagin’ with happiness!

Badges Earned:  Brownie Pets

Into the Wild | Grades 4-8

This week has gone to the animals! We’ll hop out of your house and fly into the woods to learn about the animals around us. We will learn how to protect the animals that share our camp and our homes. From virtual visits to Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge to visits to local beekeepers, this week is sure to be wild!

Badges Earned:  Junior Animal Habitats or Cadette Animal Helpers

Counselor-in-Training | Grades 9-11 | [PROGRAM FULL!]

**Important Info: This is a two-week program. Girls MUST attend both weeks to complete their CIT training. July 13-17 & July 20-24**

Our Counselor-in-Training Program (CIT), formally known as the CATs program, aims to train Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts to be effective leaders and to understand the necessary qualities and responsibilities required to be a camp counselor.

Girl Scouts provides CITs with the tools they need to be leaders at camp as well as their community at large. Under the direction of our Leadership staff, CITs will expand their leadership skills by shadowing counselors, taking certification courses, and participating in various activities and workshops that will prepare them for working with campers of all ages.

Badges Earned: Girls who complete this two-week program will earn their CIT pin.

Virtual Camp Aide | Grades 9-12

Camp Aides assist in planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities to younger campers in our virtual summer camp. Camp Aides could be assigned to activities with either group grades Kindergarten-3 or 4th-8th.

Camp Aides can earn volunteer hours towards their Service to Girl Scouting Bar

Prerequisite: Must have completed a CIT program from a Girl Scout Council in order to enroll in our Camp Aide program.

When registering, choose the Monday of the week you would like to participate in and that will register your girl for the full week.

Week 3: July 20-24
Week 3 registration closes Monday, July 13!
Art, Nature, & Wellness | Grades K-3

Do you need some time to unwind from the stresses of life? Are you interested in learning new ways to show yourself and the planet some love through art, meditation, and nature walks?

Join Camp Sacajawea staff as we create a holistic nature retreat from the comfort of your own home. Create beautiful nature art while keeping your mind & soul beautiful- and don’t forget about the spa day & relaxation sessions!

Badges Earned:  Daisy Outdoor Art Maker or Brownie Outdoor Art Creator

Mind, Body, & Soul | Grades 4-8

Are you interested in learning new ways to care for yourself and the planet through great food, medication, and yoga? Show yourself some love and join the Camp Sacy staff as we create a holistic nature retreat from the comfort of your own home. Learn how to take care of your body while keeping your mind & soul beautiful- and don’t forget about the spa day & relaxation sessions!

Badges Earned:  Junior Stay Fit or Cadette Eating for You

Camp Aides assist in planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities to younger campers in our virtual summer camp. Camp Aides could be assigned to activities with either group grades Kindergarten-3 or 4th-8th.

Camp Aides can earn volunteer hours towards their Service to Girl Scouting Bar

Week 4: July 27-31

Under the Sea | Grades K-3

What do you imagine when you think about the deep blue sea? Mermaids, plants, and maybe some sea animals? Take a deep dive into the ocean of water exploration! Together we will learn about water as we follow an experienced diver on a dive expedition. Additionally girls will put on their scientist hats to run water experiments from home, camp, and the Jersey Shore. Enjoy us as we venture beneath water’s surface!

Badges Earned:  Brownie Wonders of Water

Over the Moon | Grades 4-8

Whether you’ve searched for shooting stars or found shapes in the clouds, you’ve probably already spent some time looking at the sky. Now’s your chance to see the sky in your own back yard in a new way- like a space scientist does!

Badges Earned:  Junior Space Science Investigator or Cadette Space Science Researcher

Escape The Camp | Grades K-3

Are you a natural detective? Always wondering who, what, where, when, and why? Join us as we put our detective skills to the test. We will take a trip to a virtual escape room and uncover your skills in one of the most exciting programs of the summer!

Badges Earned:  Brownie Senses

The Great Escape | Grades 4-8

Special Agents wear many hats - detective, scientists, puzzle-solver. Stories, movies, and television are full of amazing detectives-- just like you! Grab your magnifying glass and your microscope, take a trip to a virtual Escape Room, and uncover your skills in one of the most exciting programs of the summer!

Camp Traditions

Your camper will get the chance to experience a whole new camp adventure while still participating in many of Camp Sacajawea's cherished camp traditions! Regardless of the format Girl Scout camp takes, Summer Camp will continue to build girls  of courage, confidence and character, all while making new friends.

 

Welcome Box

Supplies will be provided for each week's activities via your very own Welcome Box! Each Welcome Box contains:

Your Welcome Box will exclude any perishable items. A small, additional supplies list will be sent out one week in advance.

When registering your camper, you will be able to choose whether you would like to pick-up your girl's Welcome Box from a GSCSNJ Service Center, or to have the box shipped directly to your home.

Camp Schedule

Virtual Camp Adventures run Monday-Friday from 9am-3:30pm EST (with electives and breaks in-between). Your camper's average day will include:

  • Live morning badge work
  • Opening and closing flag
  • Interactive unit lunch period
  • Afternoon craft & games
  • “All-Camp Activity” period with our older girl group of the week.

Each week will also includes a chance for families to join the fun on Monday (opening) and Friday (closing) Campfires from 7-8pm EST, designed to engage the whole family! Each week will close with a Family Award Ceremony, Closing Campfire, and a chance to “camp” at home during a Camp-In Camp-Out.

Bonus Family Activities Included!

Elective Sessions:

Elective sessions are included in your girl's registration! Electives like "Get Active Club", “Nature Scavenger Hunt”, and “Polar Bear Plunge” will earn girls additional camp accolades.

 

Pre-recorded Programming:

Families can access a library of pre-recorded videos that can be watched and completed at home with adult supervision; videos include outdoor cooking demonstrations, crafts, and additional badge opportunities!

 

Opening and Closing Campfires:

Each week also includes a chance for families to join the fun on Monday (opening) and Friday (closing) Campfires from 7-8pm EST, designed to engage the whole family! Each week will close with a Family Award Ceremony, Closing Campfire, and a chance to “camp” at home during a Camp-In Camp-Out.

Financial Assistance

We believe that every girl should have the opportunity to experience Summer Camp. GSCSNJ offers Council Cares to those who need assistance paying for camp. Please complete the Council Cares Form and send to customercare@gscsnj.org to start the process. All applicants for Summer Camp financial assistance must be current registered members of Girl Scouts.

All applications are confidential. Awards are based on need and availability of funds. Awards will not be granted when there is an outstanding debt to GSCSNJ. Awards are non-transferable.
