Financial Assistance

We are committed to ensuring all girls have the opportunity to participate in Girl Scout Summer Camp. In order to remove financial barriers that may interfere, we offer limited funds to help members who would be unable to join in Summer Camp activities without financial support from our Council.

GSCSNJ encourages all girls and adults who need assistance paying for Summer Camp to complete the Financial Assistance process. Non-Girl Scout family members attending Family Camping (i.e. parents, young siblings, and boys) can also apply for Financial Assistance.

Special consideration is given to families impacted by COVID-19.

Financial Assistance Details

Financial assistance is available to girls who otherwise would not be able to attend camp.

Financial assistance is available only to girls living in one of Girl Scouts of Central & Southern NJ's communities.
Financial assistance is available on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.
Girls applying for assistance are asked to complete the Financial Aid forms and wait for a response BEFORE registering for a week of camp.
You will not be reimbursed for items previously purchased or money spent before financial assistance is approved.
Campers applying for financial assistance do not need to be Girl Scouts, but must register as a member for financial assistance to be awarded.

All information related to financial assitance will be kept confidential.

How to Apply

Complete all applicable sections of the Financial Assistance Application form. Submit form before registering for a camp program.

For Summer Camp financial assistance, be sure to complete the following sections of the Financial Assistance Application form before submission.

Section A: General Information

Section B: Complete only if you are also looking to process a Girl Scout membership at this time. Otherwise, leave blank.

Section C: Under List Programs, Events, or trips, fill in the information of which Summer Camp Program your camper is looking to attend.

Section D: Annual Income and additional information about any extraordinary financial circumstances which led to you submitting the Financial Aid form. Special consideration is given to families impacted by COVID-19.

Review and Next Steps

Financial Assistance applications are reviewed as they are submitted. Families will be notified of decisions within two weeks of review.
GSCSNJ may request proof of income documentation during the review process.
Carefully review all information in your confirmation packet and submit all required paperwork upon submission to ensure the reviewal process is done as soon as possible.
Final payment of the remaining camp fees (if applicable after applying awarded financial assistance) is due June 1, 2021.

All applications are confidential. Awards are based on need and availability of funds. Awards are not granted when there is an outstanding debt to GSCSNJ. Awards are non-transferable.
