Welcome to GSCSNJ’s Training Central
… a special depot where Council Trainers and Facilitators can access Girl Scout training materials.
We are excited that you have taken on the challenge of educating our adult volunteers; giving them the tools to bring the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to life for girls. This hidden section of our website was created especially for you (that means it’s a secret, please don’t share it with just anyone). This section contains a wealth of information to effectively deliver GSCSNJ and National courses; Leadership Essentials and Continuing the Excellence. Check back often. New materials will be added to the site as they are developed. We know you will use these materials to inspire our adult volunteers as they join us for fun and learning.

Blue Book of Basic Documents on the website!
We usually give copies of the Leaders Digest of the Blue Book of Basic Documents to the participants in Orientation sessions. However, GSUSA is no longer distributing them to the councils free of charge, they are offering to sell them to us instead. The cost of purchasing the thousands we would need is prohibitive. We will post the Blue Book on our website so that the volunteers can download it. So, please direct the volunteers to the website in your trainings. On the home page, click on For Volunteers, then click on Blue Book.
Trainers Central
In order to provide the course designs and updates as they happen the Communications Department has set up a special spot called Trainers Central for us. The link to the space is http://www.gscsnj.org/trainers_corner.php This is for Trainer use only so please do not give this link to the participants.
Meetings
Based on the responses from you about availability to attend meetings and the distances that everyone has to travel to get to them, I'm thinking that a Saturday or Sunday afternoon would be best. Please send me an email with your preference and I will book space for the rest of the year.
Future meetings would include segments of the trainings so that we all can become more familiar with the materials and how to deliver.
I have scheduled a special Outdoor Trainers Meeting at Camp Oak Spring on Saturday, January 24 at 1 pm. At this meeting we will go over the outdoor trainings and come to consensus on how they should be run.
