Girl Scouting 104: Partnering with Older Girls (EBSC) Comments
Prerequisites: Girl Scouting 103: Getting Started
(Formerly called Green Apple: Older Girl 101)
This course will introduce you to the grade level you will be working with including: the developmental characteristics of girls, an overview of the Journey and Girls Guide to Girl Scouting materials, how to choose, plan and implement a Journey with the girls. Meet other volunteers who are working with girls at the same grade level as you do!
Turning girls into leaders. Mentoring and Advising. Allowing girls to learn by making mistakes in a safe environment. Ideas and suggestions for successfully working with Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. How will your group Discover, Connect and Take Action!
(Note: Touches on but does NOT go into depth on Silver and Gold Awards. Please see separate workshop for detailed information on those awards.)
Girl Scouts who are 14 years or older may take this course. Same prerequisites apply.
Registration for trainings typically remains open until the day of the training unless otherwise noted in the description. A minimum of eight (8) people must be registered at least one week prior to the training, or the training will be cancelled.
