Girl Scouting 104: Partnering with Daisies (EBSC) Comments
Prerequisites: Girl Scouting 103: Getting Started
(Formerly called Green Apple: Daisy 101)
This course will introduce you to the grade level you will be working with including: the developmental characteristics of girls, an overview of the Journey and Girls Guide to Girl Scouting materials, how to choose, plan and implement a Journey with the girls. Meet other volunteers who are working with girls at the same grade level as you do!
Plant the seeds of Girl Scouts and watch your Daisy Troop Bloom. This course is designed for both new leaders and those working with Daisy grade girls who want level-specific information. Learn how to organize and facilitate a troop meeting that incorporates both the Daisy Learning Petals and the Journey Program. Use The Girls Guide to Girl Scouting to deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to Daisy grade girls. Learn about the petals, leaves and share songs, games and tips for partnering with girls to make your group girl led, led by doing and learn cooperatively. You will learn fun ways to personalize the journeys, take detours and side trips and make them your girls own special adventure.
Girl Scouts who are 14 years or older may take this course. Same prerequisites apply.
