Prerequisite: Girl Scout membership
CPR is a required training (along with First Aid) for all First Aiders. A First Aider must accompany troops as indicated in the Safety Activity Checkpoints. The First Aider need not be the leader of the troop. There is a $25.00 charge for this course.
If you wish, you may take CPR/First Aid from outside agencies. Be sure that the CPR course covers both adult and child CPR. Please consult Volunteer Essentials for approved courses.
CPR Certification for ASHI is good for 2 years.
Special Instructions: Please wear comfortable clothes, and bring a hair tie if appropriate.
Directions: Take S. Main Street to Broad Street. Once on Broad Street look for the blue Ambulance Corp building on the left. Drive into their paved parking lot before the building. Once in that parking lot, go past the building onto the dirt drive that goes to the parking lot behind the Boro hall. Enter through glass-door entrance and take elevator to the first floor election room. Street parking on S. Main Street. Parking also available in the rear.
In order to register for ASHI CPR, mail a check for $25.00 (payable to R House Health and Safety), along with your name, address, e-mail address, phone number, and name and date of the course for which you are registering to the following address: R House Health and Safety, PO Box 2725, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
Girl Scouts of any age may take this course. Younger girls may not have the upper body strength to perform the skills. If this is the case, they will not receive a course completion card, but still participate in the entire class.
Registration will not be complete until payment is received. Payment can be made by credit card through online registration or by check using the mail-in registration.
Courses fill up quickly, so please register for your training as soon as possible. Enrollment for training sessions will close one week before the date of the training. However, sessions may close sooner due to high demand. Courses may be combined or cancelled due to low enrollment. If you cannot attend a session you have registered for please let us know as soon as possible. There may be someone waiting for the seat.
Registration for trainings typically remains open until the day of the training unless otherwise noted in the description. A minimum of six (6) people must be registered at least one week prior to the training, or the training will be cancelled.
