American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) Wilderness First Aid (Inawendiwin) Comments

Prerequisite: Girl Scout membership, candidate must be 14 years of age on or before the last day of the class.

Wilderness and Remote First Aid provides participants a foundation of first aid principles and skills to respond and give care in areas that do not have immediate emergency medical services (EMS) response, such as wilderness and remote environments including urban disasters such as hurricane and earthquakes. This course meets the Boys Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid requirement.

Certification Requirements:
•   Attend all class sessions
•   Participate and demonstrate competency in all skills sessions and activities
•   Complete the training scenarios

Certificate Issued and Validity Period: Certification is valid for 2 years
There is a $90.00 charge for the complete course.

This is a two day course. Registered participants may stay overnight at the lodge at no additional charge. You will be contacted after your registration for the course is received regarding your overnight stay choice.

Girl Scouts who are 14 years or older may attend this course.

Special Instructions: Please wear comfortable clothes; bring meals, snacks and plenty of water for each session and a hair tie if appropriate.

Registration will not be complete until payment is received. Payment can be made by credit card through online registration or by check using the mail-in registration.
Courses fill up quickly, so please register for your training as soon as possible. Enrollment for training sessions will close one week before the date of the training. However, sessions may close sooner due to high demand. Courses may be combined or cancelled due to low enrollment. If you cannot attend a session you have registered for please let us know as soon as possible. There may be someone waiting for the seat.
