Girl Scouting 103: Getting Started (Elmer) Comments
Prerequisite: Girl Scouting 102.
This 3-hour course will build on core leadership knowledge you gained in the first two courses. Some of the topics that will be covered are: The 3 Processes of Girl Scouting (Girl Led, Learning by Doing and Cooperative Learning,) Take Action Projects and GS Resources e.g. Volunteer Essentials and the Safety Activity Checkpoints and an introduction to the developmental characteristics of girls as they mature from Daisies to Ambassadors.
GS 103 is required for any volunteer who completed Leadership Training from October 1, 2009 on.
Special Instructions: Street parking on S. Main Street. Entrance to building is in the rear of the building through glass door entrance. Take the elevator to the first floor election room. Parking also available in the rear. Take S. Main Street to Broad Street. Once on Broad Street look for the blue Ambulance Corp building on the left. Drive into their paved parking lot before the building. Once in that parking lot, go past the building onto the dirt drive that goes to the parking lot behind the Boro hall. Enter through glass door entrance and take elevator to the first floor election room.
If you are attend the morning Girl Scouting 103 : Getting Started session and a Girl Scouting 104: Partnering With... session, please bring a bag lunch.
