Girl Scouting helps girls develop their leadership potential through activities that enable them to discover their values, skills, and the world around them; connect with others in a multicultural environment; and take action to make a difference in the world. The Girl Scouts of Central & Southern NJ, Inc. is a registered 501 (c) (3) organization serving girls in grades K-12 in central & southern NJ. Funding for the Girl Scout Leadership Development Program is received through generous donations from individuals and corporations, grants, United Ways, special events, product program support, and investments.
GSCSNJ is charted by Girl Scouts of the United States of America to deliver the Leadership Development Program. Through a combination of staff and volunteers, GSCSNJ provides leadership opportunities, outreach support, summer camp and more. A core team of leaders and co-leaders manage local troops with the support of service unit teams in each region. Adult development is supported by staff and trained volunteer facilitators for both leadership and First Aid/CPR. A diverse Board of Directors oversees the operations of the GSCSNJ, supporting policies and development goals.
