You and your daughter can become partners in the Girl Scout Program. Your involvement will help shape your daughter's experience. She will see your commitment to her growth and before you know it, you'll be growing too.
As a parent or guardian please: Submit and sign the girl registration form to the troop leader/group coordinator. Include the $12.00 national dues with the registration form each year. Dues go directly to Girl Scouts of the USA. No girl is denied membership; financial assistance is available through the council. You are also encouraged to join and support Girl Scouting.
- If you have special skills or resources, let your leader know what you can do to share your skills with your daughter's troop or other sister Girl Scouts.
- See that your daughter arrives and is picked up on time for all troop/group meetings and other Girl Scout activities. See that handbooks and other materials are sent to troop meetings when requested by the troop leader. Sign parent/guardian permission slip for events within the troop/group which involve travel away from the regular meeting location.
- Support your daughter's leader. Appreciate and recognize the time, talent and skills she or he shares with the troop/group. Attend family meetings when requested.
- Provide troop dues and additional funds, when requested, for special events and activities.
- When asked, consider making a contribution to our Annual Fund Leadership Experience campaign to support girl programs, training and resources for leaders, financial assistance and maintenance of facilities.
- Help your daughter carry through with her commitment to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience Program.
