Parent Information

Junior with dad

Girls become women of courage, confidence and character with the help and guidance of their parents. Families are encouraged to help their Girl Scout set goals and achieve them. You can be an integral part of your Girl Scouts success by:

  • attending a family cookie information meeting
  • signing and returning all permission slips
  • providing transportation for order taking and delivery
  • following the Council guidelines on how to handle cookie proceeds
  • never doing things for your Girl Scout that she can for herself
  • asking her questions – maybe even pretend to be a potential customer
  • being a role model for business ethics and safety rules!
  • guiding her to set practical and useful goals about what she wants to learn and earn.

A check from a parent cannot replace the leadership experience your Girl Scout will gain from participating in Product Programs.
